My Approach

Welcome to therapy, whether it’s the first or hundredth time you’re considering starting anew, I look forward to meeting you and learning more about your experiences, gifts, and everything else inherently you. No matter what brings you into therapy in general or on any given day, I will help you feel through it safely and get clearer on your experience and needs. You have to feel it to heal it. And chances are, if you’re seeking therapy you’re already feeling it!

In therapy with me you can expect an open conversation within which your emotional safety is a priority. Together we’ll create a space where exploration can happen at your pace and according to your personal preferences and needs. If it appeals to you, I will also incorporate mindfulness, meditation, and movement. An important aspect of therapy is the power of relationship. Our relationship will help you strengthen the one you have with yourself on every level. My approach is warm, soft, and compassionate. What clients notice most about me is my open heart and down to earth vibes.

Some special populations I work with are those who have experienced trauma, loss, anxiety, depression, chronic physical conditions, and self-esteem issues. I also help people work through relationship issues, as well as the emotional aspects that arise in meeting the challenges of parenthood.

My Journey and Professional Background

Although “therapy” has meant many different things to me throughout my life, the healing journey has always been of interest to me. I believe that intentionally working to heal the mind, body, and spirit brings a fullness and richness to life that we’d otherwise miss.

My healing journey led me to degrees in psychology and social work. It has also taken me from the therapist’s chair to teaching yoga in elementary schools, to guiding hikes on the volcanoes of Nicaragua, and back again. As a lifelong athlete and curious observer, anything that engages the mind and body appeals to me.

About Me

Outside of the office, you’ll find me hiking, “momming”, practicing yoga, or doing my own therapy work. Outside of a pandemic, you’ll find me traveling, hanging out in my community, and playing team sports.
